why does OS3 use BYOK?
BYOK gives you freedom over the model underneath your work. Models change quickly, and different models can be better suited to different tasks, budgets and preferences. OS3 is designed so choosing different supported intelligence doesn't require your entire way of working to start again.
what does BYOK mean?
Bring your own key. You connect an API key from a supported model provider and use that provider for model access.
can I use any ai model?
OS3 supports a range of supported providers and models. The exact compatibility list can change as models evolve.
can I change model providers?
Yes, by changing the provider key connected to OS3. OS3 does not automatically switch between different model providers on every task.
do I lose my OS3 memory if I change models?
Your OS3 working environment is separate from the individual model underneath it. Changing a supported model does not mean rebuilding your OS3 memory, skills, connected computers and way of working from scratch.

what is rabbit agent?
rabbit agent is the local worker installed on a computer you connect to OS3. It works primarily through that computer's terminal, allowing it to use supported local files, tools and commands when you ask it to perform work there.
what is a node?
A node is a computer you've chosen to connect to OS3 using rabbit agent.
can OS3 use more than one computer?
Yes. OS3 supports multiple connected nodes, allowing one request or project to make useful use of more than one connected computer.
what is multi-node?
Multi-node means one OS3 project can put multiple connected computers to useful work on the same outcome instead of requiring you to operate each one separately.
why connect my own computer instead of using a cloud computer?
Your real computer already contains the files, tools, software and environment you use. rabbit agent lets OS3 work with a computer you choose to connect instead of requiring all of your work to begin inside a separate empty machine.
does rabbit agent run locally?
Yes. rabbit agent executes locally on the computer you connect. OS3 itself is a hybrid system and also uses cloud services and the model provider you selected.
does connecting rabbit agent upload my whole computer to rabbit?
No. Connecting a node does not mean rabbit automatically copies your computer or all of its files into the cloud. OS3 works with the computers and relevant files you choose to use for a task.

what does r1 do with OS3?

are my web, Telegram and r1 chats identical?
No. They can have separate conversation histories while drawing on the same OS3 memory and relevant context.

what happened to rabbit intern?
rabbit intern is no longer being offered as a standalone public product. specialist capabilities developed through intern can continue as part of rabbit's broader OS3 experience.
what happens to existing creations?
Existing creations remain available. retiring rabbit intern as a standalone public product does not mean existing creation content is being removed. the creations gallery shows a curated selection rather than everything made, so to get a complete copy of your own tasks and artifacts, export your data.

how much does OS3 cost?
OS3 is free. You pay the model provider you choose according to that provider's own API pricing.
why isn't model usage included in a subscription?
BYOK keeps the model relationship under your control. You choose the supported provider and model setup that makes sense for your needs and pay that provider directly.
