how to download your r1 and intern data, or delete your account

If you have been using an r1, or rabbit intern, this article is for you.

Your data has not been lost. What has changed is that you can no longer browse it in a web page. The old web portal has been replaced by OS3, and OS3 is a place to do work rather than a record of what your r1 has done. To read your old recordings, notes and tasks, download them — the export below is how you get them, and it is the only way to get them.

Nothing is deleted unless you delete it yourself.

what the download contains

One ZIP file, organised into folders you can open on your own computer:

• Your r1 journal, grouped by month. Every entry is its own folder holding the entry itself plus any files it referenced — recordings with their transcripts, photos, magic camera shots, AI-generated images, notes, reminders, searches, translations and conversations.
• Your intern tasks, each with its artifacts. Where a task produced several versions, each version is kept.
• A manifest, listing what the export contains and when it was made.

The creations gallery shows a curated selection rather than everything that has been made, so do not count on finding your own work listed there. The export is the complete copy: your tasks and their artifacts, with the publish details recorded alongside anything you published.

how to download it

You do not need to set anything up first, and you do not need an API key to export your data. Signing in is enough.

1. Go to os3.rabbit.tech and sign in. It is the same rabbit account and the same email address you have always used — there is no new account to create and no new password.
2. Open settings and go to account.
3. Under data export, start an export.
4. Leave it running. It is prepared in the background and takes a few minutes; a large journal takes longer. You can close the page and come back.
5. Come back to the same place and download the file.

You can have one export at a time. If you start another while one is already running or still downloadable, OS3 takes you back to the existing one.

A finished export stays available for 7 days, and the page shows the date it expires. Each download link is short-lived, so OS3 makes a fresh one every time you press download. If you return to an old link and it no longer works, go back to settings and download again.

do I need an api key?

For the export, no. For using OS3, yes — and this is the main thing that is different.

OS3 runs on an API key you bring from a model provider you choose, and you pay that provider directly. rabbit does not supply the model.

Without a key you can still sign in and look around, but the first time you ask OS3 to do something it will stop and tell you to register one. With some providers there is a second step: after the key is saved you also have to pick a model before anything will run. OS3 asks for a key during setup, in conversation, so if you are signing in for the first time it will walk you through it.

OS3 becomes the place you work from, and your r1 is one of the ways you reach it:

Your r1 keeps working. Once your account is set up on the web, press the button and speak to it as usual.

clear a conversation

Under settings → account, in the data reset section, you can clear the conversation shown on your dashboard.

This empties the conversation you are looking at. It does not delete what OS3 remembers about you — your memory and context are kept, so OS3's next reply still knows what you told it earlier. Clearing a conversation cannot be undone.

delete your account and all your data

This is permanent, and it is not the same as the export above. Download anything you want to keep first.

1. Open settings in OS3 and go to account.
2. Under delete account, choose delete my account.
3. Type the confirmation sentence exactly as shown: I understand that deleting my account is permanent and cannot be undone.
4. Type the email address on your account.
5. Confirm. This takes a moment — do not close the page while it runs.

Both the sentence and the email address are required, and the email has to match the account you are signed in to.

Deletion covers your rabbit account and the data held against it across OS3, r1 and DLAM. You are logged out and cannot log back in. Any remaining credits or subscriptions are forfeited and cannot be refunded.

If something goes wrong partway, OS3 stops before anything is removed and tells you to try again. Your account is still there, and you can start the deletion again.

Before you delete:

• Let any running OS3 and r1 activity finish, or cancel it.
• Sign out on your other devices and browsers.
• Export anything you want to keep, using the steps above.
• Factory reset your r1 first if you also want the data held on the device itself removed.

common questions

is my old r1 data gone?

No. It is held against the same rabbit account as before. You cannot browse it in a web page any more, so export it and open it on your own computer.

I only ever used rabbit intern. does this apply to me?

Yes. Your intern tasks and their artifacts are in the same export, and the steps are the same. The creations gallery is only a curated selection, so your own work may not be listed there — exporting is how you get a complete copy of it.

do I need a new account for OS3?

No. Sign in with the rabbit account and email address you already have.

will a factory reset delete my account?

No. A factory reset clears personal information stored locally on the r1. Your account and its cloud data are untouched.

will unlinking my r1 delete my data?

No. Unlinking the device does not delete your account. If you unlink it, you will need to go through initial setup again to use the r1.

does deleting my account remove files on my own computers?

No. Files on a computer you connected with rabbit agent stay on that computer.

If you want that machine cleaned up too, uninstall rabbit agent and delete the .os folder in your home directory, which is where it keeps its local working files:

• macOS and Linux: rm -rf "$HOME/.os"
• Windows (PowerShell): Remove-Item -Recurse -Force "$HOME\.os"
