How to interact with your rabbit r1

How to use the button on rabbit r1

The side button, or push-to-talk (PTT) button, is the main way to interact with your rabbit r1.

  • Voice prompts. Press and hold the button to talk to your r1 and access its powerful features through voice prompts.
  • Vision mode. Double-click the button to open the camera and activate vision mode.
  • Sleep mode. Press the button once to enter sleep mode or wake your r1 up from sleep mode. You can press and hold the button while your r1 is asleep and it will start listening.
  • Memory refresh. Quickly press the button five times to perform a memory refresh.
  • Power off and on. Quickly press the button eight times to turn off your r1. Press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds to turn on your r1.

How to navigate rabbit r1 using the scroll wheel and touch screen

In rabbitOS 2, you can use both the scroll wheel and the touch screen to navigate your r1.

  • Access the card stack. On the home screen, swipe or scroll up once to pull up the rabbitOS 2 card stack and easily access many of the features and functions of your r1.
  • Open settings. From your r1’s home screen, swipe up or scroll up with the scroll wheel and select the settings card.
  • Access quick settings. Use the touch screen to swipe down from the top of any screen to access the quick settings screen, where you can use adjust brightness and volume and quickly access the camera, keyboard, lock screen, or settings.
  • Go to the r-cade. One the home screen, swipe or scroll up and select the r-cade card.
  • Scroll through menus. The scroll wheel and touch screen can both be used to navigate through menus on your r1.
  • Flip the camera. While in vision mode, scroll up or down on the scroll wheel to rotate the rabbit eye camera.
  • Change the volume. Use the touch screen to swipe down to open quick settings, and then slide the volume bar to change the volume.
  • Change the brightness. Use the touch screen to swipe down to open quick settings, and then slide the brightness bar to change the brightness.
  • Control your music. When playing music with your r1, use the touch screen to tap the controls in the music card.
  • Scroll through magic interface. Use the touch screen or scroll wheel to scroll through your personal AI-stylized magic interface screen.
  • Log in to Wi-Fi networks. Enter a Wi-Fi password with the touch screen keyboard.

How to use the card stack

rabbitOS 2 features a colorful card stack that makes it easier to quickly access the capabilities of the r1 from the first time you pick up your r1.

  • From the home screen, simply swipe up on the touch screen or scroll up with the scroll wheel to access the card stack.
  • Use the touch screen to tap any card and open it.
  • To exit a card, tap back on the top left of the touch screen.
  • Active cards are accessible at the top of the card stack. To close an active card, swipe it to the left using the touch screen.
