How to use rabbit intern

Use the following steps to get started using AI for complex tasks with rabbit intern.

  1. Log in to your rabbithole account or create a new rabbithole account
  2. Open the rabbitOS page
  3. Use the chat window to type your task prompt and then click the send rabbitOS intern send button to send a task prompt the AI agent button

Tip: You do not need a rabbit r1 to use rabbit intern in rabbithole.

Tips for using rabbit intern

Review the following tips for writing good prompts and using rabbit intern.

  • Upload attachments. Click the paperclip rabbitOS intern paperclip button to upload attachments button to upload files that you want rabbit intern to use.
  • Answer follow-up questions. rabbit intern might ask you clarifying questions before it can continue with the task. Use the chat window to respond and provide more context.
  • Ask for confirmation. Ask rabbit intern to check your task and not perform any actions until you tell it to start. Include something like “check if you have enough information to complete my task and don’t start the task until I say GO!”
  • Specify the final output. Be specific about the final version that you want to see. You can include things like the target audience, color palette, and file type.   • Be patient. Simple tasks, like making a small file, can finish in as little as one minute. Advanced tasks, like performing research on a complex topic, can take up to one hour.
  • Do not refresh the page. Keep the rabbit intern page open. If you leave, or the refresh, your session will be lost and you cannot return to it.
  • Check the status of each task. Click on individual tasks in the current chat menu to see the current actions being performed.
  • Download files. rabbit intern can generate plaintext files, like .html and .md. Download these files from generated section before you leave the page.
  • Publish the final result. After your task is complete, you can click publish result to create a publicly available link on intern.rabbitos.app. This can be used to host a static website, like HTML or JavaScript.

How to fix issues with rabbit intern

If you see an error message or rabbit intern does something wrong, start a new session and try the following troubleshooting tips.

  • Break the task down into smaller tasks. Breaking a large task down into smaller tasks can help rabbit intern focus on the right details and make less guesses.
  • Provide more context. If rabbit intern fails on a specific part of a task, provide as much context as possible for that task.
  • Perform a step manually. If rabbit intern keeps getting stuck on the same step, perform it manually and upload the new files.

  • A task credit will only be used after the task is fully completed.
  • Starting a new task will erase everything from your previous session.
  • The limit resets at midnight Universal Time Coordinated (00 UTC) each day.
  • Task credits do not roll over to another day.

Can I get more task credits?

You must wait for the daily reset to get more task credits. rabbit support will not give you more task credits.

Can I use rabbit intern from my phone?

rabbit intern is only available on desktop web browsers, it is not optimized for phone or tablet browsers.

What file types can I upload to rabbit intern?

rabbit intern can read and modify files like .csv, .txt, and other plaintext programming code. You can experiment with audio, image, office, PDF, and video files, but the results may be unreliable. Video files are not supported yet.

 

Tip: If you are uploading a project with multiple files, include a README.txt that explains your files.

What file types can rabbit intern create?

rabbit intern can generate any plaintext file like .html, .json, and .md. You can also request rabbit intern to make a PDF or office file, however there might be problems.

How can I find my rabbit intern task after it is finished?

If a rabbit r1 is linked to your rabbithole account, your rabbit intern tasks will appear in your rabbithole journal once they are finished. You can download the result from the journal entry.
