How to use the voice recorder on rabbit r1

This article provides instructions on how to use the voice recorder feature on your rabbit r1 and also has answers to common questions about voice recorder.

 

How to use voice recorder

Using voice recordings on your rabbit r1 is easy. You can do it in one of two ways.

  • From your r1’s home screen, swipe up or scroll up with the scroll wheel and select the recorder card
  • Or hold the side button, tell your r1 to start a recording, and then let go of the button to open the recorder card

Tip: If you already have previous voice recordings saved on your r1, then press the plus icon next to recorder to start a new recording.

 

Here are the main functions of the recorder.

  • To begin recording: Tap the red dot. You will know the recording is in progress when the reels are spinning and the recording light is flashing.
  • To pause recording: Tap the flashing red dot. You can tap the red dot to resume the recording.
  • To stop recording: Tap the white square. This will automatically save your recording.

What voice prompts can I use to open the recorder card?

From the home screen, try one of the following prompts to open the voice recorder.

  • “Start recording for me”
  • “Record this”
  • “Start a voice recording”
  • Open meeting assistant

How to manage saved recordings on your r1

With rabbitOS 2, you can manage recordings directly on your r1. If you have previous recordings saved on your r1, you can find them listed in chronological order in the recordings card.

 

Tap any recording and use the following functions:

  • To replay: Press the play icon
  • To pause / stop: Press the pause icon
  • To read the summary: Swipe up / down in the summary section
  • To delete: Press the trash can icon and then tap the check mark icon to permanently delete the file, or tap the X icon or back arrow to go back

How to find a voice recording in rabbithole

Use the following steps to find a voice recording in rabbithole.

  1. User your computer or phone to log in to rabbithole
  2. In your journal, select the day the recording was made
  3. Find and select the journal entry audio recording icon in rabbithole for journal entry with voice recording for your voice recording

The entire voice recording will available for download and playback, and the journal entry will include an AI-generated title and summary of the recording. You can also delete the recording from your rabbithole journal.

Note: This battery life estimate can change based on several factors like screen brightness, whether your r1 is connected to Wi-Fi or using a SIM card, and how strong your internet connection is.

Does my r1 need to be connected to the internet to use voice recorder?

With rabbitOS 2, the voice recorder now works offline. You can open the recorder card, save recordings, and play them back or delete them on your device. The next time your device is connected to the internet, recordings will automatically be uploaded to your rabbithole journal and AI titles and summaries will automatically be generated and updated in the recorder card on your r1.

Are recordings saved locally on my r1?

Yes, with rabbitOS 2, recordings are saved locally on your r1 device.
