You need a rabbit account to use OS3, and the same account is what your rabbit r1 links to when you activate it. If you already have a rabbit account, you do not need a new one — sign in with it.

- Go to the OS3 sign-up page in a browser.
- Enter your email address.
- Open the verification email rabbit sends you and confirm your address.
- Read and accept the terms of use and privacy policy.
- OS3 opens and walks you through setup in conversation, including connecting the API key it uses to reach a model.
Accounts are managed through rabbit's identity provider, so your password is never stored by rabbit in plain text.

If you are setting up an r1, create the account first, then set up your r1 and activate it with the QR code. The device links to the account you just created.
