How to connect your rabbit r1 to Wi-Fi

Use the following steps to connect to a new Wi-Fi network. After you connect to the Wi-Fi network, it will be saved to the my networks section in the network menu so you can quickly connect to it again later.

  1. Open the settings menu in one of the following ways:
    • From your r1’s home screen, swipe up or scroll up with the scroll wheel and select the settings card
    • You can also swipe down from the top of any screen to access the quick settings screen, and then tap the gear icon to open settings
  2. Select network
  3. If Wi-Fi is not already enabled, toggle it on
  4. Scroll and select a Wi-Fi network
  5. Select connect
  6. If a password is required, type it on the keyboard and then tap the orange return key on the bottom right of the keyboard to enter

Note: If your r1 is not on the latest software version, you may need to gently shake your r1 twice to open the settings menu. 

How to connect rabbit r1 to a hidden Wi-Fi network

You can manually connect your r1 to a Wi-Fi network by SSID.

  1. From the network menu, scroll down and select add network under add network manually
  2. Select enter SSID under network name, type the network name using the keyboard, and then tap the orange return key on the bottom right of the keyboard to enter
  3. Select select protocol under security and choose the network’s security protocol
  4. If a password is required, select enter password and use the keyboard to type the password
  5. Select add network to connect to the network

Tip: Hold the side button and say something like “connect to Wi-Fi” to open the network menu.

  2. Select network
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network from the my networks section
  4. Tap disconnect
