How to use memory with rabbit r1

How to use memory with your rabbit r1

It is easy to start saving memories on your r1—you just need to enable memory on your r1 and then take the initial memory interview.

 

The rabbit memory operator will ask you questions and respond in real-time to learn more about you. You do not need to use the push-to-talk (PTT) button to respond.

How to enable memory on r1

You can only enable and disable memory on your r1. You cannot enable or disable memory in rabbithole. Use the following steps to enable memory in the settings menu on your r1.

  1. Scroll up twice to open the settings menu
  2. Select memory to toggle it on
  3. Scroll up and select home to leave the settings menu

If you need to to disable the memory feature, toggle it off in the settings menu on your r1.

How to take the memory interview on r1

Once you enable memory, you will be prompted to take the interview.

  1. Tap the touch screen to select continue
  2. You will receive a virtual call from the rabbit memory operator
  3. Tap to answer the virtual call and start the memory interview

Note: The rabbit memory operator will try to call you two times. After the second failed attempt, the memory feature will toggle off.

How to save new memories

After you finish the memory interview, your r1 will automatically create new memories as you interact with it. You can also manually save memories in two ways—save a memory with a voice prompt or implant a memory in rabbithole.

  1. Save a memory from your r1. Press the side button on your r1 and say something like “remember this about me” or “save this memory” in your prompt.
  2. Implant a new memory in rabbithole. Follow the steps in the next section to add a new memory in rabbithole.

Tips for using memories on r1

Review the following tips for good types of memories that will help you personalize your r1.

  • Language preferences. You can ask for specific styles like “use Gen-Z slang”, “be as formal as possible”, or “correct grammar mistakes I make”.
  • Interests, hobbies, and skills. Tell your r1 things like “I’m a beginner woodworker” or “I can read guitar sheet music and tab”.
  • Personal information. Your r1 can remember things like your home address or a friend’s phone number.
  • Important dates. Use memories to keep track of things like birthdays and anniversaries.

Warning: Do not create memories with sensitive information like passwords, credit card numbers, or banking information. Use cookie jar to securely log in to accounts to use with LAM playground and teach mode.

How to manage your memories

You can view and manage all of your memories in rabbithole.

  1. Log in to your rabbithole account
  2. Click settings
  3. Find the memory section
  4. Click manage memories

On the memory page, you can perform the following actions.

  • Create a new memory. Click new memory, type out your memory, and then click save to implant a new memory.
  • Edit an existing memory. Click the pencil click the pencil icon to edit memories in rabbithole icon to edit a memory.
  • Remove a memory. Click the trashcan click the trashcan icon to delete memories in rabbithole icon and then click forget to delete a memory.
  • Clear all memories. Click clear memory and then click clear memory again to confirm that you want to delete all of your saved memories.

Note: Deleting memories cannot be undone.

How to fix issues with memory on rabbit r1

If you have a problem with memories on your r1, try the following troubleshooting steps.

  1. Check for conflicting memories. Two memories that are the opposite of each other can break responses or cause unreliable answers.
  2. Look for memories that are too extreme. A memory like “include the word banana in every sentence” can be too restrictive for natural language.
  3. Toggle memory off and then back on. Use the previous instructions in this article to disable and then re-enable the memory feature.
  4. Clear your memories. Use the previous steps in this article to clear all of your memories in rabbithole.

How long will the memory interview take?

The memory interview will take about three to five minutes.

How can I take the memory interview again?

You can take the memory interview again by telling your r1 something like “I want to take the memory interview”. Your r1 will prepare the virtual call and then tell you to quickly press the side button five times to perform a refresh. After the refresh is complete, you will receive the virtual call to take the memory interview again.

Will my memories be deleted if I disable memory?

Your memories will not be deleted if you disable memory. So, you can safely disable and then re-enable memory as a troubleshooting step.

Will I keep my memories if I unlink my r1?

Memories are connected to your rabbithole account. Your memories will not be deleted if you factory reset your rabbit r1 or unlink your r1 from your rabbithole account.
